JenkStar Artist in Residency Program

Coming in the Spring of 2024, the JenkStars will be introducing our Artist in Residency Program.

Beginning in the spring, we will be offering $500 per month, free rent and an endless supply of Jenk to build your dream art installation. The primary objective of this program is to teach the necessary skills to keep the Jenkstar turned on and to create more beautiful Art in our desert oasis. Students will learn the ins and outs of our various solar arrays, composting toilets, wood fired sauna, hot tub and pizza oven, and most importantly the art of Jenk. We have several projects underway that need focused attention such as welding on the Jenk Dome, Cob on the Sauna, Hemp Crete Building on the new hemp dome and many surfaces need murals and other types of painting.
